SWEET SWEET LAYNE...SO SAD

DOWN IN A HOLE....forgive the first 5 seconds of wild things fucking it up...lol

Layne was my Kurt....I loved Layne. Hell, I loved Alice In Chains....I collected their music like I breathe air...I had sheets and sheets of their stuff...I even once paid 75 bucks for a rare CD that was never released and still to this day I can not find it...but that all went out the window when the bastards broke into my car. I cried over losing their stuff more than any other CD's that I had...and I had a lot. The first time I left all my music in the car....

I remember the day I found out he died. Edgefest was a couple of weeks away and I was excited b/c Jerry Cantrell was singing...and they had mentioned that when he was done doing his solo gig that they were getting back together for a reunion tour...

I was driving to my mom's house, I was turning Left from Debbie Lane onto Cardinal and it came over The Edge... "Layne Staley found dead in his apartment today...." I almost ran off the road into a tree....I pulled over into the parking lot that occupies the small vet place and I cried. I cried so hard. I couldn't believe it...didn't want to believe it. When I saw Jerry step onto the stage, he played all Alice In Chains and when it came to Down In A Hole he said "This is for you Layne." and I cried like a little bitch again...it still breaks my soul that he is gone.

There was a song that he did with the Heart sisters, it was on one of the bootlegs that I had...I'm not sure what the name of it was...something like 'ring them bells'...not sure...it sounded like a spiritual song...it made me cry it was so beautiful.

OMG I FOUND IT

I also love Alice In Chains. I have Down in a Hole as a ring tone on my phone. The Heart song is amazing. I have never heard it. I love it. I think that my fav song is Nutshell though. Have you seen this?
